"Let Your Freedom Ring" is a community blog of sorts. Everyday we are reminded that in the U.S.A. our freedom is our greatest asset. Perhaps never more so than now as we witness firsthand the ravages of war.
Yes, our country has been in conflict before and has lost tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen in them. However, as wrong as it is, and it *is* wrong, the younger generations had no face to those conflicts. Oh, I am certain that it was mentioned that Granddad/Great-granddad served in xx conflict. I am equally confident that some families get it. But there are a *lot* who do not.
In today's world it is easy to become distracted by the daily grind and to forget our freedoms. The purpose of this blog is to remind everyone, to encourage friends, family and strangers alike to pick one freedom, one way in which YOU allow YOUR freedom to ring. It can be something as small as being able to go to the grocery store and choose from a vast array of items or something as big as your freedom of religion...the freedom to worship God in the way of your choosing and at which time you choose.
We often forget that our freedom was bought and paid for...by Jesus...and by the American Soldier, Sailor, Marine or Airman. Please be polite and respectful of the persons who choose to share their freedoms with the world on this blog but please also be forthright.
